Evaluation
Our specialized and trained technicians will inspect your current equipment, and help you understand how custom products will benefit your situation. They will discuss pricing and the different available options.

Fitting and Shape Capture
After the initial evaluation, our trained technicians will start the fitting process for the new custom cushion or back. This may include the technician wrapping a loose bean bag around the customer, and vacuum sealing it to a tight and locked shape. This requires the technician to be hands on with the client to ensure the best possible shape capture.
*With COVID-19, each technician will be required to wear a mask, carefully wash their hands, and sanitize all materials prior to the fitting

Ordering Custom Equipment
After the shape capture is completed, then Frontier Access and Mobility will start ordering the new custom products. Shipping times will differ depending on the custom company that is used.

Is Custom Seating Necessary?
It all depends on your current situation! Our trained and certified ATP's will evaluate you and your system and help guide you to the most comfortable and mobile seating system! Custom seating systems are especially necessary to prevent or help fix bad posture, pressure injuries, or to just maximize comfort and mobility!
How does a Typical Custom Wheelchair Fitting Go?
Our trained ATP's will first evaluate you and determine whether custom seating is the best route for you to go. Then, depending on the specific custom solution, the ATP may take measurements of your chair and body, as well as take a custom shape with a bean bag around your body. This is completely painless and safe.
