What are the differences between transport, manual, and power wheelchairs?
Transport wheelchairs require a care-giver to push the user around (all the wheels are small). Transport chairs tend to be much more light-weight. Whereas manual wheelchairs can be self-propelled by the user; however, they are heavier to transport due to the larger wheels.
Our power wheelchairs can be self-propelled electronically or pushed with the aid of a care-giver.
How do I get my rental?
You can either pick up your rental equipment at your local Frontier Access & Mobility Shop, or we can deliver your rental directly to you address for a small fee!
Delivery fees may vary on service. They typical start at $35 and work up from there. There are many factors to be considered such as drive time, number of employees required to transport, type of equipment, etc.
How do your wheelchair rentals work?
First, have these answers at the ready:
- Height of the individual using the wheelchair
- Weight of the individual using the wheelchair
- Dates you would like to rent.
- Whether leg(s) need to be elevated (for instance, a broken leg)
- Whether you would like a transport, manual, or power wheelchair

What if I want to buy my rental after I use it?

This is because some item depreciation may have to be subtracted from the normal price, and rental models may vary widely.
