Minivans are the very definition of automotive versatility and functionality. A new powertrain with an adept V-6 and a dutiful eight-speed automatic transmission provide composed cruising and potent passing. For 2017, the Sienna gets an updated powertrain. The V-6 has the same displacement as its predecessor, but boasts an extra 30 horsepower (up to 296) and 18 lb-ft of torque (up to 263). It works with a new eight-speed automatic transmission that replaces the six-speed. Together they improve refinement, acceleration, and fuel economy.
